Seems that the new Pioneer players were launched today stateside before the UK launch, and photos and videos have been popping up all over the place!
Not really much to add to the swarm of posts on every DJ forum out there, but I must say I’m somewhat disappointed by the build-up to the launch and the introduction of what is only really stolen features. When I first tried my friend’s CDJ-1000 mk1 while I had CDJ-500 mk2 they were a joy to play with, but everyone has caught up in the meantime, including Pioneer themselves!
Needle Drop (Numark NS7), Beatgridding (Traktor), USB Media (Pioneer CDJ-400), Auto-Loop (Traktor) are just some of the features that they announced as ‘groundbreaking’ when really they’re already around.
As someone that’s just gotten started with laptop DJing I was hesistant about using a computer while mixing, and the prospect of not having to whilst still doing away with vinyl and CDs is tempting, but for $2150 a pop? Not a chance…
Hi and welcome to my new website, finally got just enough time to get this setup and hopefully I will get a chance to look after it and keep it up to date, not to mention adding more videos and mixes when I get the chance! Speaking of which time to play around with Traktor some more…
First demonstration mix I put together to showcase my current ability at the time on CDJ’s
